The Greener Alternative:
Bagged Wine
Reduced carbon footprint, extended freshness and reduced waste, waste reduction and efficient use of materials.
Bagged wine, sometimes referred to as "boxed wine," typically uses a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. We've done away with the box here, making our wines even easier to transport.
Bags and boxes are far lighter than the glass bottles usually used for wine. This reduced weight means a few things. Transport emissions are lower; so is our carbon footprint.
Not only are we reducing waste - we're significantly lowering our environmental impact.
If that isn't enough to convince you, bagged wine has one huge advantage over single use glass. When opened, these can stay fresh for weeks, compared to the few days you get with glass.
What does that mean for you? Firstly, you won't have to worry about throwing away open wine. Secondly, you'll be able to have a glass here and there, as you feel like it - with less risk of spoilage. And you're guaranteed to get the delicious thirsty birds flavour in every glass - even a week or two after you open the bag.
